Recreational Classes

Classes for beginner gymnasts ages 5 to 18. Ages 5 to 9 are co-ed, but ages 10+ are female students only and male students may move into the tumble or trampoline program at this age. Classes are offered at a variety of times, 6 days a week during the school year and 4 days a week in the summer. Each group performs a routine in the annual School Show that occurs in June every year where friends and family can come watch the students show off their skills!!

5 to 7 year olds - 1 hour; Co-ed
This class is designed for kindergarten and first grade students. The hour class is separated among a variety of 4 events each class including floor, bars, balance beam, vault, and trampoline/tumble track. Students learn the basics of gymnastics and help develop their balance and coordination skills.

7 to 9 year olds - 1 hour; Co-ed
This class is designed to be age and ability appropriate. Basic skills, progressions, strength, and flexibility are included. Instruction on all olympic events (vault, bars, beam, and floor) as well as trampoline and tumble track.

9 to 11 year olds & 11+ years - 1.5 hours; female only
These two sections of classes are broken up by age and will include instruction on all women's apparatus as well as trampoline and tumble track. Focus is placed on basic fundamentals of gymnastics using correct form and technique along with the development of strength and flexibility.
